UmanDiagnostics is experiencing growing pains and is expanding its current premises in Umeå.

Ylva Elias has been appointed Business Development Manager at Swedish life science company UmanDiagnostics. She formerly took up her new position in January this year, and is responsible for selling and marketing UmanDiagnostics products throughout Europe.

Swedish-based UmanDiagnostics, a Quanterix company, has developed a new type of product that makes it easier to detect neurological diseases. Called NF-light ™ serum ELISA, it was officially launched on October 12th and will now be sold worldwide.
“Our product can be used for research inthe field of neurological diseases throughout the world. It feels very exciting, because our product is clearly revolutionary”, says Niklas Norgren, VP, Managing Director and co-founder of UmanDiagnostics.
Last summer Umeå-based UmanDiagnostics was acquired by major US life science company Quanterix for $22.5 million. Now it is recruiting additional staff at its offices in Umeå to meet an expected rise in new orders.
“We’re continuing to invest and are confident we’ll come out of the Coronavirus crisis even stronger, despite the uncertainty being faced by many industries,” says Niklas Norgren, CEO of UmanDiagnostics.
Umeå-based life science company UmanDiagnostics has signed a new licensing and supply agreement with global giant Siemens.

When Umeå’s big business gala was held on November 7, three of twelve awards went to life science.

Following the $22.5 million acquisition this summer of Umeå-based UmanDiagnostics by major US biotech company Quanterix more people are now being hired at its offices in Umeå.
“Demand for our products is extremely high in the global marketplace and we’re probably looking at hiring even more people in the future”, says Niklas Norgren, CEO of UmanDiagnostics.
