Every year, Umeå Biotech Incubator organizes two events in Stockholm during January/February: Meet Umeå Life Science and Biotech Umeå Investment Day. We do this in order to meet the regional companies needs to recruit senior competence and find investors and partners. Now we are looking for 3–4 consultants who can form an advisory board for these events, to make the events as valuable as possible for all parties.
Meet Umeå Life Science is held during an afternoon and evening where the region’s life science companies mingle with people with great experience of the life science industry. These senior people are specially invited, partly because they have great expertise and partly because they have an interest in working with innovative startups as board members, CEOs, consultants and more. The second event, Biotech Umeå Investment Day, takes place the following day and is a pure investor meeting with pre-booked meetings between companies and investors/partners.
The advisory board shall, together with UBI, come up with name suggestions for persons who can be invited to the events.
The assignment comprises about three telephone meetings of about 1 hour each. These meetings will take place in August, October and December/January, and name proposals will be discussed. Between these meetings, there may be a couple of hours of preparation and possible follow-up for the participants in the advisory board. We estimate approximately 8–10 hours in total.
