SpinChem triumphed at the Umeå Gala on Thursday, clinching the ‘University Spin-Off of the Year’ award.
“It gives the whole team a boost of motivation,” commented CEO Emil Byström.

SpinChem AB is no stranger to the Umeå Gala, with several nominations previously. They were contenders for the same category last year and have also been nominated for ‘Innovative Company of the Year’. This year marks their first win.

“Exciting! We at Spinchem have been dedicated and diligently working over time. Our market is broad, spanning 35 countries. While we primarily operate internationally, receiving local recognition is also very gratifying. It confirms that we are on the right track and it’s a great boost of motivation for the whole team,” he added.

Also nominated for the award were QureTech Bio, a life science company supported by Umeå Biotech Incubator, and Enduce.

Located in the Science Park, Tvistevägen 48, SpinChem specializes in developing Rotating Bed Reactors (RBR) for synthesis and purification in the chemical and biotechnical industries. SpinChem’s vision is to transform the world by providing the simplest, fastest, most stable, and resource-efficient technical solutions, as a catalyst for the global process chemistry industry.
