For the third consecutive year, UBI is organising the Umeå Lab Fair at Tvistevägen 48A in Umeå. All 21 exhibitor slots for the 2026 edition were booked within just three hours.
“You really had to be quick when registration opened, and we already have several companies on the waiting list. We have a strong and diverse line‑up, and it is particularly exciting that ten exhibitors are participating for the first time,” says Christin Grundström.
Entire value chain within lab and life science represented
The fair brings together exhibitors representing the entire value chain within lab and life science – from advanced analytical instruments and automation to reagents, consumables, and specialised services for both academia and industry. Taking place between 11:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m, the event offers free entry and is open to everyone working in life sciences.
Through its lab facilities, Umeå Biotech Incubator works closely with companies and researchers in everyday laboratory environments. This practical insight into the needs of life science organisations is the foundation for Umeå Lab Fair.

Lab insights the starting point for Umeå Lab Fair
Umeå Biotech Incubator works closely with life science companies and researchers through its own lab facilities, providing access to advanced equipment and specialised infrastructure. Being part of the day‑to‑day realities of laboratory work has given UBI an understanding of the need for accessible meeting places where suppliers and users can connect locally. Umeå Lab Fair is a direct result of that insight.
“Lab fairs are traditionally held in metropolitan regions, which makes ours stand out. It is smaller and more compact than many other events, both in terms of space and time. For exhibitors, those three hours are intense and highly rewarding – something that is very much appreciated.”
As in previous years, the lab fair will be followed by a Life Science Pub (LINK) later the same evening at Cinco, offering further opportunities for networking and informal discussions.
