Umeå-based agtech innovator Cropcision is strengthening its leadership team as it enters a new growth phase. Jonas Gullberg will lead the launch and market introduction of SILVIVO, the company’s first product for the forestry sector.
The Umeå-based Agtech innovator Cropcision has successfully closed a seed funding round, backed by Northern Light Capital (NLC) and Partnerinvest Norr. The company is scaling up its capacity to deliver plastic-free, controlled-release fertilizers that align with upcoming EU regulations and meet the growing global demand for sustainable and affordable solutions.
The European sunflower market is facing challenges and seeking new solutions. Cropcision, a Swedish startup, has the potential to contribute to this evolving landscape. Their plastic-free precision fertilizers will be tested in a sunflower trial, supported by EIT Food, in Spain in 2025.
Umeå Biotech Incubator is expanding. Shades of Green and Cropcision are two new cases in the pre-incubator that work with a mix of biotech and architecture and in agtech with the next generation of sustained release systems.
