There is plenty to smile about these days for the Venture Teams
working with UBI projects. Three venture teams were selected
to the top 20 best business ideas from a pool of 59 submitted
concepts.
Dr. Nelson Khoo (VP, Strategy & Business Development) and
Mr. Örjan Norberg, CEO of UBI are pleased that the quality of the
projects in the incubator has been recognized among projects from
all fields. Their selections show to the region that UBI found some
promising gems for its portfolio that may one day influence
your family life (e.g. new treatment for infertility from Dr. Liu
Kui), improved and prolong your quality of life (e.g. novel
adenotherapy of cancer from Dr. Ya-Fang Mei & Prof. Göran
Wadell) and perhaps even let you reduce the effects of a cold (e.g.
new safe enzyme therapy to kill cold virus from Dr. Krister Tano in
Luleå). It will be an interesting night for UBI on December
9th, 2009 in Sundsvall as the Top 10 Best Business Ideas
will be selected.
